Privacy Policy
This page explains what this website collects, what we do with it, and what we will never do with it. Effective 2026-07-30.
Who this covers
This policy applies to this website, operated by The Shop, GM Repair, 901 N Olive Street, North Little Rock, AR 72114. It covers information you send us through this site and information the site collects automatically while you are browsing it.
It does not cover paperwork you sign in person at the shop, or the records we keep about a repair once your vehicle is with us.
What we collect
The contact form
If you fill in the form on our contact page, we collect the details you type into it:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number, if you give us one
- The topic you select
- The message you write about your vehicle
Only the name, email address, topic and message are required. Everything else is your choice. Please do not send us anything sensitive through the form. If it is sensitive, call us instead.
Automatically, while you browse
Like most websites, this one records ordinary technical information such as the pages you visit, roughly where in the world you are, the type of device and browser you are using, and how you arrived here. This is collected through Google Analytics and is used in aggregate, to work out which pages are useful and which are not.
What we use it for
What you send through the contact form is used to answer your inquiry. That means replying to you, asking follow-up questions about the vehicle, quoting the work and getting you on the schedule. That is the whole list.
We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it or hand it to a marketing list. We do not add you to a newsletter because you asked us a question about a lifter tick.
The technical information described above is used to understand how the website is performing and to improve it.
We will disclose information only where the law requires it, or where it is genuinely necessary to protect our rights, our property or somebody's safety.
Cookies
This website sets cookies, and we would rather tell you plainly than bury it.
Analytics cookies are set
Google Analytics cookies are set when you visit this site. They are what allow us to see how many people came, which pages they read and where they arrived from. The notice you see on your first visit is there to tell you this is happening. It is a notice, not a choice: it carries a single button that dismisses it and records that you have seen it.
Essential cookies may also be set
Some cookies exist purely to make the site work. A session cookie is set when you use the contact form so that the form submission can be verified as genuine. Your browser also stores a small local record when you dismiss the cookie notice, so that it does not reappear on every page.
How to get rid of them
You are in control of cookies at the browser level, and that control is real. Every major browser lets you view the cookies a site has set, delete them, block cookies from specific sites, or block them across the board. Look under Settings, then Privacy. If you block or clear them, parts of this site may behave differently, and the cookie notice will show again on your next visit.
Third parties
A few services run on this site, and each one receives some information directly from your browser. We do not control what they do with it, so their own privacy terms apply as well as ours.
Google Analytics
Measures website traffic. It receives page views, device and browser information and an approximate location, and it sets the analytics cookies described above.
Google reCAPTCHA
Protects the contact form from automated spam. When it runs, Google receives information about your browser and how you interacted with the page in order to decide whether you are a person. It is the reason our form is not buried in junk submissions.
Google Fonts and the map embed
The typefaces on this site load from Google Fonts, and the map on our contact page is an OpenStreetMap embed. Both receive a request from your browser, which includes your IP address, in order to serve the content.
Your choices, and deleting your details
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. There is no form to fill in and no hoop to jump through.
How to ask
Call us on (501) 747-7752, text (501) 439-8228, or send the request through our contact form. Those are the routes to use. Tell us enough for us to find the message, such as the name and phone number you used, and we will take care of it.
We keep inquiry messages only as long as we need them to deal with the inquiry and to keep a sensible record of work we have quoted or carried out. We may not be able to delete records we are required to keep for legal, tax or warranty purposes, and we will tell you if that applies.
Security and children
This site is served over an encrypted connection and we take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us. No website can promise perfect security, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us details through this site, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how this site handles your information, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means the updated policy applies.
